2012: Connections
AusAPT 10th Biennial Conference & Pre-Conference Workshops
The Australian Association for Psychological Type invites papers for the AusAPT 10th Biennial Conference to be held in Melbourne, Australia, on 25, 26 and 27 October 2012.
The goal of the conference is to examine the ways that psychological type provides or enhances “connections”, which is a broad theme but may, for example, encompass connections between type theory and practice, between existing knowledge and new ideas, and between people. We are seeking 45, 60 and 90 minute presentations.
AusAPT members are drawn from a wide range of fields including management, consulting, health, social work, education, and academia, and thus a wide range of topic areas will be of interest.
Submission Guidelines
Presenters are invited to submit an abstract of their presentation (approx 200 – 300 words) in .doc, .rtf or .pdf format, by Friday 10 February 2012.
In addition to the abstract please also include:
• your name, your organisation, your email address and phone number • the title of your session, the target audience and the key outcomes for the audience • the presentation format and length(i.e. lecture, workshop, panel discussion, case study etc; 45, 60 or 90 minutes.) • the level of type knowledge required of the audience (i.e. entry level, intermediate, advanced) • the style of presentation (i.e. highly, moderately or minimally interactive) • will the session have been presented elsewhere or is it prepared expressly for this conference • a biography (no more than 300 words)
Submission deadline for abstracts: Notification of acceptance: 9 March 2012
Abstracts will be reviewed by a committee and if accepted, presenters will be asked to submit their full paper and if applicable, presentation slides. Accepted abstracts, papers, and presentation slides may be published in the conference proceedings.
Presenters of accepted papers will be entitled to a 25% discount on the registration fee for the conference. While there are no speakers’ fees, we can offer presenters opportunities to promote their services or products at the conference. Presenters will be responsible for their own travel and hotel costs.
